Storm Eowyn - Red Weather Warning - 23/01/2025 - last updated 24/01/2025 15:40pm

A red weather warning has been issued as violent storm force winds hit the island, with conditions considered a threat to life. We will be closing our Douglas shop and offices for the rest of today and tomorrow, with the team working from home.

We encourage everyone to stay at home if possible and will be closely monitoring our services in case of any damage or disruption, our priority is keeping everyone safe and we intend to act swiftly and efficiently to reconnect services once high winds have eased.

Anyone who comes across a fault should call 151 from a Sure mobile or 07624 247 247 from a landline.

We will post updates here and on our social channels in the event of any disruption to broadband, mobile or landline services during the storm, our team will need to wait until it is absolutely safe to do so before reinstating any services.

Update 24/01/2025 08:50am

A mobile site in Bride is currently out of service, this will impact coverage in and around Bride until engineers are able to get to site to restore service.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update 24/01/2025 10:05am

Due to a power outage we have now lost mains and back up power to our Beary mobile site.  This will cause significant coverage issues across the West of the Island including limited to no coverage in Foxdale and Glen Maye, and significantly reduced coverage around St Johns, Cronk Y Voddy, Greeba and Kirk Michael.  We are sorry for any inconvenience caused at this time.

Update 24/01/2025 13:25pm

Power has now been restored to the Beary site via a generator.  Services in the west of the Island should now be restored.  If you are continuing to have issues please contact our customer service team on 247247 or via our website.

Our Bride site remains out of service for the moment.  Engineers will look to recover service once its safe to visit the site.

Update 24/01/2025 15:40pm

Engineers have attended site in Bride and the issue is going to require climbing the mast.  This is currently unsafe until the winds ease off.  We will continue to revisit this and restore service as soon as its safe to do so.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
