Landline Star Services and Voicemail

Overview

Our landline services include Voicemail and Star Services, designed to give you greater control over your calls. This guide explains how to set up and manage these features using your touch-tone telephone.

Home Voicemail

Home voicemail allows callers to leave messages when you cannot answer your phone. It works similarly to mobile voicemail and requires no extra equipment.

Setting Up

1. Set Up Call Diverts: To use home voicemail, you must first set up call diverts to the voicemail system. Dial the following codes from your landline:

   • Immediate (divert all calls): *21*171#

   • On Busy: *27*171#

   • No Reply: *61*171#

2. Accessing Mailbox: Once diverts are set up, dial 171 to access your voicemail. The first time you access it, you will be asked to set a 4-digit PIN (required when accessing from another phone) and record a greeting.

Managing Messages (Call 171)

• Press 1: Listen to new and saved messages (Press 1 to save, 2 to repeat, 3 to delete).

• Press 2: Personalise your mailbox (change PIN or greeting).

• Press 4: Merge mailboxes (enter full mobile number and PIN of the other mailbox).

Cancelling Voicemail

• To cancel: Dial ##004#

• To reactivate: Dial 004*171#

Star Services

Note: Star Services require a touch-tone telephone.

Call Features

• Call Return: Dial 1471 to hear the number, date, and time of the last caller. Press 3 to return the call.

• Ring Back When Free: If a line is busy, press 5. Your phone will ring when the line is free. To cancel, dial *37#.

• Call Waiting: Dial *43# to activate. If someone calls while you are on the phone, you will hear a tone. Press R to switch between calls.

• Three-Way Calling: While on a call, press R, dial the second number, then press R 3 to engage all parties.

Call Diversion

• Immediate: Set *21*(number)# | Check *#21# | Cancel #21#

• On Busy: Set *67*(number)# | Check *#67# | Cancel #67#

• On No Reply: Set *61*(number)# | Check *#61# | Cancel #61#

Call Barring

To prevent certain call types, use *34*(option)#.

• Option 1: All except 999 & 112.

• Option 2: All Mobile, National, and International (excluding Premium).

• Option 3: All International.

• Option 4: All operator-connected calls starting with 1.

• Option 5: All Star Services except Barring cancellation.

• To Check/Cancel: Dial *#34# to check or *34*(option)*(password)# to cancel.
