Paying by Direct Debit is the easiest and most convenient way to pay your Sure bill. Your monthly payment is automatically collected from your bank account on the last working day of each month, saving you the time of remembering due dates.

How to Set Up Your Direct Debit
To set up a new instruction, please download and print the Direct Debit form attached at the bottom of this article.
Complete the form: Ensure the name on your bank account exactly matches the name on your Sure account.

Use the correct reference: Use your Sure account number as the reference (found at the top of your monthly bill).
If you do not know your account number, please write your service number in the box marked ‘FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY’.

Important Processing Note: Please allow 2 weeks for your instruction to be processed. During this period, please ensure you pay any outstanding bills using an alternative payment method. Any Direct Debit forms returned after the 15th of the month won't be added till the following month.
Changing Your Bank Details
If you are changing your bank account, you must complete a new Direct Debit instruction form and submit it to us using the details above.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
What happens if my Direct Debit fails?
If a payment cannot be collected (e.g., due to insufficient funds or if your bank declines the request), your bill will remain outstanding and late payment charges may apply. If this occurs:
Ensure your bank account has sufficient funds or that your instruction is active.
Make a payment immediately using another method to clear the balance.
Once resolved, your Direct Debit will typically continue to collect future bills automatically. You generally do not need to contact us unless the problem persists.
Can I cancel my Direct Debit?
Yes, you can cancel your instruction at any time by contacting your bank. Please let us know if you do this so we can update your billing preferences and ensure you have an alternative payment method ready to avoid late fees.
