You may need to swap your SIM card if you have upgraded your handset, experienced a lost or stolen device, or if your current SIM is no longer functioning correctly.
Before You Start: Back Up Your Data
Important: Changing your SIM card will result in the loss of any information currently stored on the chip itself. Before proceeding, ensure you have backed up the following to your device, cloud storage, or a secure account:
Contacts
Photos and Videos
Music
Calendar events
Any other essential personal data
How to Complete a SIM Swap
To ensure a smooth transition, please follow these steps:
Get your new SIM ready: Ensure you have the physical SIM card in your possession.
Locate your SIM Number: Find the 19-digit number printed on the back of your new SIM card (it begins with 894455).
Contact Sure: Call our Contact Centre on 07624 247 247.
Verification: Tell the agent you would like to perform a "SIM swap." They will confirm your identity by asking for your account password.
Activation: Provide the 19-digit number to the agent. They will then transfer your mobile service to the new SIM.
What happens next?
Activation Time: The process usually takes just a few minutes.
PIN Code: Once you insert the new SIM and turn on your phone, if you are prompted for a PIN, the default code is 0000 (four zeros).
