Getting Started with Google Family Link

Requirements

• Accounts: You need a Google Account for both the parent and the child.

• Parent's Device: Compatible with Android (6.0+), iPhone/iPad (iOS 16+), or Chromebook.

• Child's Device: Compatible with Android (6.0+), Chromebook (Chrome OS 71+), or compatible Fitbit.

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Download the App: Install the Google Family Link for parents app on your device from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

2. Create or Link an Account: You can either create a new Google Account for your child if they are under 13 (or the applicable age in your country), or link an existing account.

3. Set Up Supervision: Open the app and follow the on-screen prompts to sign in with your Google Account, review supervision terms and privacy notices, and confirm your child’s account and device.

What You Can Control

Once set up, you can manage the following features:

• App Permissions: Approve or block app downloads and in-app purchases.

• Screen Time: Set daily time limits and establish bedtimes.
