Overview
Accessing your voicemail while abroad requires extra security steps compared to at-home use. Please be aware that standard roaming charges apply for receiving and listening to voicemails while travelling.
How to Access Voicemail Abroad
Preparation: Before you travel, you must set up a 4-digit PIN via your mobile by dialling 171 and following the voice prompts to "configure security settings."
Accessing: While roaming, dial +44 (0) 7700 700000.
Authentication: When prompted, enter your full mobile number followed by your 4-digit PIN.
Roaming Charges & Billing
Inbound Charges: You may be charged for receiving a voicemail because the call is forwarded to your location (unless you have a qualifying Call and Text Booster).
Listening Charges: You will be charged for the call duration while listening to messages.
Re-routing Fees: Even if a caller hangs up before leaving a message, you may still be charged for the call being re-routed to the voicemail platform.
Enabling/Disabling Voicemail (Recommended)
To avoid unwanted roaming charges, we recommend disabling your voicemail before travelling and re-enabling it upon your return.
To Disable Voicemail: Dial ##004#.
